The Head Office of the Investigative Committee has charged deputy head of police department – head of district juvenile police officers office No 1 (Zavelichye) of the Pskov Region Police Department Vadim Andreyev.

On 12 November 2016, being a responsible person representing the administration of police office No 1, the accused got a report on a missing teenager and did not launch a proper check, collection and analysis of the information on the personality and circle of the missing teenager. He also did not involve a juvenile police inspector to look for the teenager. The officer’s negligence did not let the missing teenager be found on time and led to grievous consequences.

The runaway teenager and his girlfriend broke into a summer house of the girl’s step father, got hold of his firearms and opened fire at police officers on 14 November 2016. They then killed themselves.

The investigation continues.
