The Chelyabinsk Region Office of the Investigative Committee has initiated criminal proceedings against a 55-year-old resident of Kasli District suspected of torturing a minor under Part 2, item “e” of Article 117 of the RF Criminal Code.

According to investigators, during 2017 in the settlement of Vizhnyovogorsk, Kasli District, the suspect beat many times his 5-year-old son suffering from a chronic disease. The guardianship authority has now put the child in a social rehabilitation center.

The suspect is now expecting a restraint and charges. Investigative operations are underway to gather and register the evidence. Investigator has made a motion to terminate the man’s parental rights. He by all means is going to find out the reasons for and contributing factors of the crime and to file requests with the district police station and juvenile commission.
