In his turn, Alexander Bastrykin noted, “Investigators take each probe very seriously, they understand that doctors take risks and assume their responsibility when they try to use a chance they sometimes don’t have.” The Chairman agreed that it was necessary to apply balanced approach to coverage of the results of work of medical staff.
The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia and Leonid Roshal once again confirmed that it was necessary to continue joint development of suggestions on improving existing legislation. In particular, Leonid Roshal focused on forms of punishment for medical workers alternative to deprivation of freedom. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia expressed his conviction in the need to continue and accelerate the joint work on suggestions on legislation improvement. “Only the joint effort and meaningful dialogue will secure interests of doctors, investigators and, of course, citizens,” the Chairman of the Investigative Committee concluded.
