The Main Investigations Directorate over North Caucasian Federal District of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation finished investigation of a probe into Vyacheslav Ponomarev and Ivan Kononenko, that was processed separately.
They are accused of committing a robbery attack on a family of a former Vice-Governor of Krasnodar Territory (Paragraphs B,C of Part 4 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code of Russia).
According to the investigation, at night of May 9, 2018, the designated persons came to a household located in Korotkaya street of Pseituk settlement of Tahtamukaysky District of Republic of Adygea, where the parents and a sister of the former Vice-Governor of Krasnodar Territory. Having secretly penetrated the home, they attacked the sleeping family members and immobilized them using plastic yokes and tape. After searching the house, the men stole property of total value of 5.6 million roubles.
As a result of the attack, the people present in the house received health injuries of varying severity.
Despite the fact that the persons accused of committing of the offence didn't admit their guilt, their involvement can be proved to the full by collected evidence and forensic examinations conclusions.
During the scene examination, the investigators detected fingerprints, which have been proved to belong to the perpetrators by conclusions of fingerprinting examinations. The involvement of the convicts in the attack was also proved by other examinations. The victims recognized the men as persons who had attacked them.
The criminal case with the approved indictment has been sent to the court to be tried on the merits.
The investigation with the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Adygea Republican Ministry of Internal Affairs, Krasnodar and Adygea Regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs continue identification of all persons involved in the attack.
