They are accused of committing an offense under Paragraph G of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia (murder committed by a group of persons under a preliminary conspiracy).

According to the investigation, on July 27, 2018, Khachaturian sisters inflicted on their father numerous stabs and hammer blows on his body including the vital parts--head, neck, and chest--being in an apartment, acting as a group of persons under a preliminary conspiracy, feeling acute personal animosity towards their father. The man died of the injuries.

During the assessment of the actions of the accused individuals, the investigation established that the offense had been motivated by personal animosity caused by their father’s inflicting physical and psychological suffering on the daughters for a long time, which was considered by the investigation as extenuating circumstances.
