Four more suspects detained under probe into stealing of natural gas supplied to North Caucasian Federal District

The Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia continues the investigation into the murder of Aslan Zhukov and Fral Shebzukhov, as well as the stealing of natural gas supplied to North Caucasian Federal District and organization of a criminal community.

Investigators detained four metrologists of the Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Stavropol LLC subsidiaries introducing changes in metering units of industrial enterprises for cash remuneration from their representatives for unaccounted natural gas supplied by the criminal community. These are metrology engineer of the Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Stavropol LLC subsidiary in Mineralovodsky Region Yury Akulich acting under direction of accused Guzer Khashukaev; metrology engineer of the same subsidiary Igor Dubinin acting under direction of accused Alan Kyatov; Renat Zagirov and Sergey Shostkin, who worked in the Stavropol subsidiary of Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Stavropol LLC and acted under direction of accused Igor Travinov and Ruslan Agoev.

The suspects have been delivered to Moscow. The court has ruled to place Akulich into custody. The investigation has motioned the court to arrest Dubinin, Zagirov, and Shostkin.

Apart from that, the investigation obtained data on industrial natural gas users of Stavropol Territory that were supplied with natural gas bypassing metering units, which was ensured by the designated metrologists.

At present, investigative actions aimed to identify other persons involved in the stealing of natural gas in North Caucasian Federal District continue.
