Investigators of the Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation continue to investigate a probe into disappearance of a foreign citizen (Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The probe was transferred from the Tver Regional Investigative Committee of Russia to the Central Office for further investigation the day before.

According to investigators, the girl left the house of her permanent residence on June 15, 2021 at about 18:30, got into an unidentified vehicle and headed in the direction of Rekshino village of the Borsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region. Since then nothing was known about her whereabouts.

Today the girl's body was found after a large-scale search operation. In addition, the Investigators of the Investigative Committee of Russia in close cooperation with the regional Main Department of Internal Affairs detained a resident of Borsky district of Nizhny Novgorod region, born in 1977, repeatedly convicted for grave and especially grave crimes, on suspicion of murder.

The suspect is cooperating with the investigation. Investigative actions are being carried out in order to prove the evidence. In the nearest future, decisions on charging the perpetrator and on choosing a preventive measure will be made.
