The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia orders a report on the progress of investigations into a number of incidents where children were injured

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia has instructed the head of the Western Interregional Transport Investigations Department, P.S. Vyments, to report on the progress of the investigation into the injury of a minor by a Sapsan high-speed train.

A girl born in 2007 was reportedly standing at the edge of the platform on the Uglovka-Aleshinka line on 23 October. She was injured by an air blast caused by a St Petersburg-Moscow high-speed train passing along the platform. With a broken leg, the injured girl was hospitalized in a medical facility, nothing threatens her life. A set of required assessment activities aimed to establish all circumstances of the incident is organized.

The Head of the Investigative Committee ordered the head of the Saratov Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia, A.Y. Govorunov, to report on progress of pre-investigative probe launched after the media publication describing a woman abusing a little girl by dragging her down the stairs in front of the entrance and yelling at the child. Investigators of the Investigative Committee are carrying out a set of assessment activities aimed at establishing all circumstances of the incident.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia put under supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee the progress of the inspection by Saratov Regional Investigative Department.
