According to media reports, the Ukrainian armed forces carried out a massive shelling with heavy weapons affecting the territory of Rostov Oblast near the border with Ukraine. As a result of the shelling, a projectile that was fired from the territory of Ukraine exploded in Rostov Oblast at a distance of about a kilometer from the border.

Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, instructed the investigators of the Main Investigative Department of the IC of Russia to initiate a criminal case on this fact and conduct a thorough and comprehensive investigation into all the circumstances of the incident.
