The criminal cases are launched against the Ukrainian servicemen anticipated in civilian persons shelling

The Investigative Committee of Russia launched two criminal cases under the offense prescribed in Part 1, Article 356 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (ill- treatment of the civilian persons, the use of banned means and methods of warfare) against the servicemen of the 24th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Evgeny Kurash, Sergey Postupalsky, Roman Mamavko, Nikolai Yanchey, 25th separate paratrooper brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andrey Kachanov, Roman Zabrodsky, Andrey Tkachuk, Dmitry Chernichenko, Emil Ishkulov, Vladimir Kapitula, 56 separate motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergey Sirchenko, Dmitry Gerasimenko, Vyacheslav Bugaichuk.

According to the investigation, between June 25 and 26, 2022, during the 24hrs, the mentioned above servicemen gave and executed the criminal orders for targeted artillery shelling from heavy weapons at civilian infrastructure facilities in Donetsk, Makeevka, Volnovakhsky rayon of the Donetsk People's Republic, including Svatovo, Severodonetsk, Pervomaisk, Gorsky, Zolote-1 and the Ray-Aleksandrovka, Loskutovka settlements of the Lugansk People's Republic.

As a result of the shelling of Donetsk, Makeevka and Volnovakhskiy rayon of the Donetsk People's Republic, four civilians were injured, five civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.

As a result of artillery shelling of the Svatovo, Severodonetsk, Pervomaisk, Gorskoye, Zolote-1 cities, and the Ray-Aleksandrovka, Loskutovka settlements of the Lugansk People's Republic, a civilian was killed, several residential buildings were damaged.

The Investigative Committee of Russia continues to identify the Ukrainian armed formations, units and the specific persons involved in the shelling of civilians.
