As part of the investigation of the criminal case, investigators of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation are inspecting the premises and the adjacent territory of the Donetskgorvodokanal water utility facilities in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

Servicemen of the 25^th separate airborne brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired at these facilities from the 155-mm French self-propelled artillery mount CAESAR. The shelling injured four people of varying severity.

The investigation has determined that the actions of the servicemen of the 25th separate airborne brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine constitute a crime under Part 1, Article 356 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (ill-treatment of the civilian population, the use of prohibited means and methods in an armed conflict).

The preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
