In the Sverdlovskaya oblast, between July 25 and July 31, 2022, 9 teenagers felt unwell while being in the children's recreation camp. Based on this fact, the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Sverdlovskaya oblast is conducting the inspection. Investigators have begun interrogating the representatives and management of the recreation camp, they are requesting the documentation related to the catering services provision for children, and they examine the compliance of sanitary and epidemiological requirements, including the presence or absence of expired food products in the canteen.

The Head of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed Mr. Boginsky M.V., Head of the investigative Directorate for the Sverdlovskaya oblast, to launch a criminal case and provide a report on the procedural decision taken as soon as possible.

The investigation is a subject to control in the Main Investigative Directorate of the IC of Russia.
