According to a publication on social media, a woman in Khimki, Moscow region, was attacked by unknown individuals after she tried to stop a car from driving through a pedestrian area near a memorial complex.

Investigative bodies of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow region has opened a criminal case in regards with this incident.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed Acting Head of the Main Investigative Directorate for the Moscow Region, Ya.A. Yakovlev, to submit a report on the progress of the criminal investigation and the established circumstances. The execution of this order is being monitored by the central office of the department.
