Video footage has spread on social media showing a group of teenagers beating an underage girl in one of the districts of the Republic of Buryatia. The participants in the conflict recorded their unlawful actions on video. Based on this incident, the investigative authorities of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Buryatia have opened a criminal case under article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism).

The head of the department, A. I. Bastrykin, has instructed the head of the investigative department, V. V. Sukhorukov, to report on the progress of the criminal investigation.
