Social media publications report that workers have begun dismantling the roof of two apartment buildings in the city of Kostroma, which were declared hazardous in 2015-2017. However, people are currently living in the building, and the issue of their relocation has not been resolved yet.

The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kostroma Region has initiated a procedural inspection regarding this matter.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia gave instructions to the head of the Investigative Committee for the Kostroma Region, D.N. Levchenko, to report on the circumstances established during the inspection and the decision made. The execution of this order has been placed under the control of the central office of the agency.
