Pre-investigating check launched in Chelyabinsk Region into collapse of house killing three

In the evening of 8 November 2013, a cottage under construction collapsed in Lubovaya Street, Kurchatovsky district, Chelyabinsk. Bodies of three people, who had built the house, were found under the debris. The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee in Chelyabinsk Region have launched a pre-investigating check into the incident.

According to preliminary data, a 40-year-old man, his 37-year-old wife and 59-year-old mother were fatally injured when the ceiling collapsed due to a large amount of building materials stacked on the second floor.

At present a number of investigating operations are underway to find all the circumstances of the incident. A procedural decision will be made following the results of the check.
