Investigative agencies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kurgan region accepted proceedings into the gas explosion in one of the apartment houses in the village of Vvedenskoye, Ketovsky District, in which three people, including a child, were injured, on the grounds of an offense under Part 1 of Article 118 of the RF Criminal Code (causing grievous bodily harm by negligence).
According to investigators, April 6, 2014, at about 8.15 am, a gas explosion followed by a fire occurred in a three-storey residential building located in the village of Vvedenskoye, Ketovsky District, Kurgan region. A man born in 1986, his wife born in 1989 and their daughter born in 2010 were hospitalized from the apartment, where a gas cylinder exploded, with various degrees of burns. Later, the girl and her mother died of injuries and burns in a medical facility.
In connection with the death of the woman and her child, the pre-investigating authorities decided to reclassify the criminal act under Part 3 of Article 109 of the RF Criminal Code (causing death to two or more persons by negligence).
The necessary investigative operations aimed at establishing all the circumstances and causes of the explosion are underway within the framework of the criminal investigation. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
