The Altai Territory investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a criminal investigation under part 3 of article 238 of the RF Penal Code (making work or rendering service which do not meet life and health safety standards of consumers involving death of two or more people by negligence).

According to investigators, in the morning of 27 April 2014, there was a fire in the Chisty List private rehabilitation center for drug addicts near Krasilovo Lake, Kosikha District. 8 dead bodies were found after the fire was out.

An investigating team is working at the scene at present. They are looking into the cause of the fire. During the probe investigators are going to classify the actions of personnel who took care of the patients and oversight bodies. Investigation is ongoing.
