On 1 May 2014, at 05:30 PM, a road traffic accident happened on the road Grozny – Goryacheistochnenskaya killing two investigators of the fourth special office of the investigating directorate. The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee in the Chechen Republic are carrying out a pre-investigating check into the accident.

According to initial information, there was a traffic accident on Grozny – Goryacheistochnenskaya motorway involving a KAMAZ truck and a Toyota Corolla with two investigators inside. The investigators were killed on site, the truck driver was not hurt. The investigators were on duty.

At present a set of checks are underway to find out all the circumstances of the accident. A procedural decision will be made following the results of the check.
