Chairman of Russia’s Investigative Committee holds personal reception of citizens in Saint-Petersburg

The Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee held a personal reception of citizens in the Leningrad Region Investigations Directorate on 9 August 2013. During the reception Alexander Bastrykin received 33 people from Leningrad Region and Saint-Petersburg, Moscow and Krasnodar Territory. 5 more people were received by the officials of the Central Office of the Russia’s Investigative Committee.

In the first place Mr. Bastrykin listened to the initiative group of protectors of Siversky forest as well as their opponents. For all-round and impartial investigation of the situation around Siversky forest, Mr. Bastrykin ordered a number of procedural operations.

Besides, people also complained about different issues, including work of investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee.

During the reception that took from 12 PM to 11:35 PM, all the citizens who had come in the Leningrad Region Investigations Directorate were received. Based on the results of the personal reception Mr. Bastrykin gave explicit orders to heads of a number of territorial investigating bodies. Progress of reviewing all accepted complaints and application is under personal control of the Chairman.
