Head of Miass administration held on suspicions in organization of hired murder and complicity in banditry

Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continues investigating a criminal case against members of a stable armed group, who committed over 40 serious and especially serious crimes in Moscow and Moscow Region, Rostov and Chelyabinsk regions and Krasnodar Territory in the period between 1999 and 2011.

As the result of investigating and search operations in Chelyabinsk Region the investigators have detained the head of the administration of the town of Miass Viktor Ardabyevsky. He is suspected of organizing murders for hire of local businessmen – Andrey Paduchin and Pavel Sidorov committed in Miass in 2005 and 2008. At present Ardabyevsky is held and subject to investigating operations

According to investigators Ardabyevsky while organizing the murders of the said businessmen did know that the perpetrators would be the members of the inter-regional gang, the so-called “Turbazovskiye” and due to this fact he is suspected of complicity in banditry (article 209 of the RF penal Code).

It should be noted that for a long time the victim Sidorov was accounted for a missing. Only after the case was taken to procedure by Moscow Main Investigations Directorate and a number of investigating and search operations the Sidorov’s body was found in 2012 in the woods in Miass environs.

We remind that earlier in this case the investigators have detained Sergey Chashchin involved in setting up the band and murders in Chelyabins Region including the murder of Paduchin. One of the leaders of the inter-regional gang was Dmitry Lesnyakov, who was sentenced by Moscow city court in 2012 to 25 years in prison.

Investigation is ongoing.
