Investigative Committee chairman holds operational meeting in Makhachkala

On 15 November 2013, Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee held an operational meeting in the city of Makhachkala, the republic of Dagestan attended by: Vice-Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee Boris Karnaukhov, head of the Main Office of the Russian Interior Ministry in the North Caucasus Federal District Sergey Chenchik, head of the Main Investigations Directorate in the North Caucasus Federal District Ilya Lazutov and the number of heads of offices of the Russian Federal Security Service, Interior Ministry and the Investigative Committee in the North Caucasus region.

The meeting heard the information on the progress of investigation of several criminal cases. Among them: the criminal investigation into murder of investigator in Leninsky district Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee in the Republic of Dagestan Ramazan Ramazanov, murder of judge of the Dagestani Supreme Court Mukhtar Shapiyev and his son on 26 September 2013 and the murder of federal judge of leninsky district of the city of Makhachkala Zaynudin Madanov on 4 November 2013, in twin blast on 31 October 2013 in Dakhadayev Street in Makhachkala, the murder of an officer of the Office of Federal Penal Service and a small child on 12 August 2013, explosion in a grocery store on 8 November 2013, the 2 October 2011 murder of a girl born in 2008 and the number of other criminal cases over attempts on the lives of the law enforcement agents.

Following the results of the meeting Mr. Bastrykin gave a number of explicit orders on the direction of investigations, search of the suspects wanted.
