In Moscow criminal investigation started over negligence resulted in injuring three-year-old

The Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has launched a criminal investigation into inflicting bodily harm to a small child containing signs of a crime under part 2 of article 293 of the RF Penal Code (negligence).

According to investigators, on 1 June 2014, at about 10:15 PM, a three-year-old child, who was coming back home with his parents fell into a utility room 3.5 meters deep near house No 10 in Osenny boulevard, which was not fenced and the net over which was not fixed properly. As a result of his fall the boy sustained closed brain injury, concussion and blunt force trauma of stomach with suspicion of spleen rupture. The child was delivered to hospital.

Necessary investigating operations are underway. During the probe investigators are going to classify the actions of officials of the shopping mall, whom the utility room belongs, and who are in charge of its maintenance. The investigation is ongoing.
