In Moscow sentence passed on administrator on illegal gambling club in Tsvetnoy boulevard

A court has found the evidence gathered by Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee sufficient to convict Kirgiz national Suyunbek Zhusupov. He was found guilty of a crime under paragraph “a” of part 2 of article 171.2 of the RF Penal Code (illegal organization gambling related to gain on a very large scale).

The court and investigators have found that in the period between March and July 2013 Zhusupov was unofficially employed as an administrator at an illegal gambling club in Tsvetnoy boulevard. There were 26 game machines and a poker table in the club. He had to accept and arrange guests and clients, calculate statistics from game machines and maintain order in the club. Zhusupov also employed staff and watched how they did their job, and passed the money from gamblers to the club’s organizer. As a result, the illegal gambling club had an income of over 83 million rubles.

The court has sentenced Zhusupov to 1 year and 2 months to be served in a minimum-security penal colony.
