In Moscow Region criminal investigation launched in series of sex abuse of children

Moscow Region Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case against four local residents. They are suspected of a series of sexual crimes committed against children (paragraph “a” of part 3 of article 132 of the RF Penal Code).

According to investigators, several people established a firm to organize holidays and studies of children both in Russia and abroad. The said persons accompanied children to different places and there committed their illegal actions. It has also been revealed that multiple cases of such crimes the suspects committed in their residences outside Moscow.

By the present time it has been revealed that victims are children aged 13-14. At the same time there is information that crimes were also committed against children aged 10. The information will be checked during the investigation.

The suspects were detained by the officials of Main Crime Detection Office of the Russian Ministry of Interior in conjunction with Moscow Region Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee.

The investigators are working with the suspect now. Custodial restraint is expected soon.

The investigators are going to take all possible measures to find out the reasons and conditions that made the crimes possible.

It should be pointed out that the victims' parents have filed a request with the investigators to not to disclose their personal details. Therefore, the Investigative Committee warns journalists against violating the laws of the Russian Federation and their constitutional bases.
