Criminal investigation launched in disappearance of girl in Stavropol Territory

The Stavropol Territory investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a criminal investigation into a crime under paragraph “c” part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder) after an 11-year-old girl went missing.

According to preliminary reports, on 17 October 2014, in the afternoon the girl left her home in the village of Levolumka, Mineralnye Vody District, and went to the neighboring yard to play.

At present investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.

The girl’s description: 10-11 years of age by sight, 140 cm high, skinny, long brown hair was braided, dark-brown eyes. She was wearing a sweater with pink and white stripes, light-blue jeans and pink trainers.

Investigators are addressing everybody who has any information about the girl’s whereabouts or the circumstances under which she went missing and asking to report it to Mineralnye Vody investigating department of the Stavropol Territory Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee by calling: 8-928-826-33-33, 8-87922-6-71-11.
