Alexander Bastrykin arrived at Yerevan to coordinate investigation against Russian soldier

Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has arrived at Yerevan to coordinate the work of military investigators looking into a criminal case against Russian soldier Valery Permyakov, who was a conscript in a military unit located in the town of Gyumri, Armenia.

The Russian President instructed Mr. Bastrykin to work in close cooperation with law-enforcement bodies in Armenia for maximum impartial and full investigation. There no doubts that the guilty of a brutal murder will be brought to justice.

I remind that Permyakov is charged with crimes under paragraph “a” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder of two or more people) and part 2 of article 338 (desertion carrying a gun issued for service) for which he now faces a life in prison.
