The Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has finished investigating the second criminal case into a murder of Ruslan Marzhanov, a resident of the town of Pugachev, Saratov Region opened against Ruslan Khaydayev, Khizir Nazirov and related to him Khamzat Nazirov. Depending on the role of each one they are charged with crimes under paragraphs “g” and “i” of part 2 of article 105 (murder out of hooliganism), part 3 of article 30, paragraphs “g” and “i” of part 2 of article 105 (attempted murder committed by a group of people out of hooliganism), parts 4 and 5 of article 33, paragraphs “g” and “i” of part 2 of article 105 (solicitation and complicity in a murder committed by a group of people out of hooliganism), paragraph “a” of part 2 of article 116 (battery), part 4 of article 150 (involvement of an underage person in a crime), article 316 of the RF Penal Code (hiding a crime).
According to investigators, at night of 6 July 2013, near Golden barrel café in the town of Pugachev the accused together with a teenage accomplice acting in agreement provoked Marzhanov to a fight, during which the latter suffered 17 stabs with a scalpel. It was established that in May 2013, Ruslan Khaydayev and the underage accomplice attempted to kill another man using a knife in Pugachev. However, they failed to finish the crime, as it was prevented by one of the eye witnesses.
Due to a side response the crime evoked among the wider public the case was passed over to the Main Investigations Directorate for investigation and was kept under special control. All the sides of the conflict resulted in brutal murder of the young man were identified in a short time. The investigators made a lot of work: questioned over 170 people, ran over 50 forensic analyses, including medical, DNA, criminological using a polygraph, non-verbal and psycho-lingual.
The investigators have gathered enough evidence, so the criminal case has been forwarded for the indictment to be approved and then will be sent to court to be tried on the merits.
Earlier a court has sentenced a teenager involved in the crime to 9 years and 6 months to be served in a minimum-security penal colony.
