Congratulations of Russia’s Investigative Committee on anniversary of Investigative Committeee

Dear colleagues!

Accept my warmest congratulations on the anniversary of the Russia’s Investigative Committee!

The results of activity of the Investigative Committee as an independent investigating authority have proven that the decision made by the leadership of our country was absolutely right. Today the Investigative Committee unites people loyal to the Law, giving all their strength to establish truth and justice.

Our work definitely requires courage, integrity and high level of responsibility for the decisions we make. I can say with pride that the Investigative Committee employs best specialists who successfully solve serious crimes such as murders and terrorist attacks, extremist offences, sophisticated economic and tax crimes, acts of corruption and organized crimes. Figures show us more: in 2014, 83% of murders, 95% of rapes, 97% of acts of corruption and all resonating terrorist attacks were solved.

The number of crime reports reviewed by the Investigative Committee has gone up, while the number of unfounded refusals to open an investigation has dropped dramatically. The work in this field goes on and is aimed at ensuring rights of our citizens.

The duty of the Investigative Committee officials is to be in the forefront of the battle with crimes.

The memory of our fellows, who discharged their professional duties till the end, will always stay with us in our hearts. Over the years we have lost 13 officials killed in the line of duty.

I am sure that in future high professional and moral qualities will help you investigate and solve crimes and ensure the principle of unavoidable punishment. We will do our best to make the system of investigating bodies develop based on the principle of continuity of the best traditions of investigation.

On this occasion I sincerely wish officials and veterans of investigating bodies and their families - good health, endless energy and new accomplishments for the benefit of the state, society and Law!
