Investigative Committee sets up Child in Danger telephone line

The Russia’s Investigative Committee has set up a round-the-clock telephone line Child in Danger designed for immediate response to reports on committed or plotted crimes against minors.

It often happens that children are afraid and tell nothing about a crime committed against them. This is why such telephone line is very relevant today. Each child has to be aware that they are inviolable and nobody has any right to show brutality to them in any way.

Children, their parents and citizens who have information on a committed or plotted crime against an underage or a small child can call the toll-free number 8-495-986-77-66 from Moscow Region of Russia. The line operates toll-free in territorial investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee within the region in question. Each caller will be heard and the reports will be reviewed in accordance with the current Russian legislation and decisions will be made concerning each of the calls.

Prevention of crimes against minors, as well as quick investigation of already committed ones is one of the key priorities in the activity of the Russia’s Investigative Committee. Operation of the Child in Danger telephone line is another important element in an entire set of efficient measures taken.
