Police officer Viktor Miller who agreed decisions refusing investigation into complaints filed by Oleg Belov’s wife arrested following request of investigators

Investigators of the main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continue the investigation against Chief of district police Alexander Volchak, his deputies Vyacheslav Nikitin and Igor Shorin, head of the division Viktor Miller and district police officers Dmitry Oblivin and Vladimir Filimonov, opened in a crime under part 3 of article 293 of the RF Penal Code (negligence, entailing death of two or more people).

Today a court has satisfied a request filed by the investigators and ruled to remand Miller in custody pending trial. It has been revealed that Miller while being chief of a district police officer Vladimir Filimonov four times agreed his decisions refusing investigation into complaints filed by Oleg Belov’s wife about multiple facts of beating and threats. All that made it possible for Belov to commit a mass murder.

A district police officer Dmitry Oblivin has already been charged and is under house arrest at the moment. Vladimir Filimonov is in custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
