The Samara Region Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has requested the prosecutor’s office to let it investigate a case over beating of an elderly woman in Pyatyorochka supermarket in the town of Syzran, Samara Region. The crime was committed on 4 September, however the police started the investigation only today, because it came public.

The Investigative Committee is going to carry out a full and all-round investigation. During the investigation they are going to classify the actions of not only the attacker, but the supermarket’s administration, who failed to ensure that their buyers were safe and the police officers as well who failed to open the investigation in time.
