The Bashkortostan investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have charged a 35-year-old man from the city of Ufa with crimes under paragraphs “c” and “j” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder of a minor, joined with sexual abuse committed in order to hide another crime), paragraph “b” of part 4 of article 132 (sexual abuse).

According to investigators, in the morning of 21 September 2015, the 35-year-old resident of Ufa walked down Krasnodonskaya street in Ufa and attacked an 11-year-old girl, who was walking to school. He covered her mouth and nose with his hand, dragged her to the opening between two metallic garages, where he sexually abused her. Fearing of being caught, he strangled the girl.

At present, the investigators filed a request with a court to remand the accused in custody pending trial.

The investigation is ongoing.
