On October 21, 2013 an explosion in a commuter bus took place in Volgograd. 30 years old Dagestan native Naida Asiyalova committed a self-destruction. On December 29, 2013 an explosion took place at the railway station in Volgograd. On December 30, 2013 the explosion took place in the trolleybus close to a market in the Dzerzhinsky district of Volgograd. As a result of terrorism attacks several tens of people died, a large quantity of people sustained bodily injuries of varying severity. In the course of investigation of criminal cases the activity of two sabotage-terrorist groups "Makhachkalinskaya" and "Kadarskaya" was suppressed, the participants of which were organizers and performers of terror attacks, was suppressed. By the sentence of the court four militants were sentenced to long terms of imprisonment, five more were liquidated at the attempt to resist law enforcement officials.
