At night of 21 December 2015, a wife, 47 and her husband, 42 and their relative aged 4 years died in a fire in a house in the village of Mataki, Drozhzhanoye District. The Tatarstan investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have opened a criminal investigation in a crime under part 3 of article 109 of the RF Penal Code (reckless homicide of two or more people).

According to investigators, the day before the fire, the wife and husband celebrated the return of their senior son from the army. Later some of their relatives and guests left for a club, while the hosts went to bed. In the middle of the night the man smelled smoke, he took his 7-year-old son and threw him out the window outside, then he came back for his other child, but fainted.

Investigative operations are underway to find out all the details of the incident. The Investigation is ongoing.
