In Ulyanovsk region investigation finished of criminal case on murder and sexual abuse of girl

Ulyanovsk region investigating bodies of the Russian Investigative Committee have finished investigation of criminal case against 48-years-old local citizen, who was previously convicted.  He is accused in committing crimes under paragraphs “c”, “i” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder of a minor), part 5 of article 132 of the RF Penal Code (sexual abuse of a person under 14 years). Chairman of the RF Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin took personal control of the criminal investigation.

According to investigators, on June 18, 2016 the accused, being in Nizhnyaya Terrasa residential district, committed sexual abuse in relation to 8-years-old girl. After he hit her on her head several times, that lead to death in the incident site. During examination of the site investigators have found traces used to determine genotype of the abuser. As a result, he was arrested within the next few hours.

Investigators collected enough evidence, and the case has been sent for the indictment in shortest possible time to be approved and then will be forwarded to court.  Moreover, at the moment bodies of the Investigative Committee continue the investigation of the crime upon negligence by administration officials, supervising persons being released from prison (part 1 of Article 293 of the RF Penal Code).

Investigation of crimes committed in relation to minors is one of most important fields of the Russian Investigative Committee activities. Our position remains unchanged - every crime in relation with a child must be thoroughly investigated, and all the guilty identified and indicted.
