Alexander Bastrykin held reception of citizens in Stavropol on 30 September 2016. The Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee received residents regions of North Caucasian and Southern Federal Districts. Together with the Chairman, the reception was attended by his vice-chairmen Boris Karnaukhov, Ilya Lazutov and head of some offices of the Investigative Committee. Most of the complaints related to procedural decisions made over criminal cases investigated in regional authorities of the Investigative Committee. Additionally, Mr. Bastrykin ordered the acting head of the Stavropol Territory investigative authority Igor Ivanov to carry out a preliminary check concerning one complaint filed by residents of Stavropol Territory about violations of construction regulations during the construction of an apartment building in the city of Stavropol. Following the reception, Mr. Bastrykin gave explicit instructions to heads of territorial investigating bodies. The review of all received complaints and appeals is under personal control of the Chairman.
