In Moscow, Gulchekhra Bobokulova committed to asylum

A court has recognized the evidence collected by the Moscow Directorate of the Investigative Committee sufficient to institutionalize 39-year-old Gulchekhra Bobokulova who committed crimes under Part 2, item “c” of Article 105 (murder of a child), Part 2 of Article 167 (arson) and part 1 of Article 207 of the RF Penal Code (false communication about an act of terrorism).

The court and investigators have established that on the morning of 29 February 2016, babysitter Gulchekhra Bobokulova had waited till the parents left the flat with the elder child, and killed a 4-year-old girl in a house in Narodnogo Opolcheniya Street in Moscow. After that she set the flat on fire and took off.

During the investigation, Bobokulova was tested and revealed signs of chronic mental disorder. She was deemed insane and in need of being institutionalized.

The court ruled that the woman is to be committed in a mental hospital.
