Following the order of the Investigative Committee Chairman the Saint Petersburg Office of the Investigative Committee has taken over criminal proceedings opened against a 45-year-old local resident suspected of a death threat under Part 1 of Article 119 of the RF Penal Code.

According to investigators, on the afternoon of 17 January 2017, the suspect while driving his Mercedes had a road conflict with a driver of an ambulance. The suspect took out a knife and threatened to kill the ambulance driver.

At present, investigative and search operations are underway to find out all the circumstances surrounding the incident. The suspect is expecting arrest and charges. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee has assumed special control over the investigation.
