The Saratov Region Office of the Investigative Committee has initiated a pre-investigative check into media reports of yet another battery of a medical worker.

According to preliminary data, on 25 February, the police got a report that husband of one of patients in Saratov hospital was not happy about the way his wife was being transported, butted a medical worker on the face. Investigators have received information from the hospital that the medical worker sustained head injuries.

At present, the Saratov Region Office of the Investigative Committee are now taking over the check. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee has demanded from his subordinates to find out all the circumstances surrounding the incident in the shortest possible time and if there are reasons enough to open an investigation.
