Spam emails containing malicious software have been sent today to some state institutions and commercial organizations allegedly from divisions of the Investigative Committee.

The Investigative Committee has never sent any requests to state institutions, organizations or citizens by email. If you get such a letter you should delete it immediately to prevent your computer from being infected.

The Moscow Directorate of the Investigative Committee has been ordered to run a procedural check into the spread of spam emails in order to find out all the circumstances surrounding the incident and to identify people involved.
