The Saint Petersburg Directorate of the Investigative Committee has taken over an investigation opened by the police in disorderly conduct under Part 1, item “a” of Article 213 of the RF Penal Code.

According to investigators, on the afternoon of 9 April 2017, an unidentified driver of a Kia car attacked a 10-year-old boy with a scooter crossing the road on the greed lights near No 27 in Lanskoye Highway. The man hit the boy with a fist on the head, threw the scooter on top of him and then took off. The injured boy was taken to hospital, treated and discharged.

A number of investigative and search operations are underway to find out all the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigators are now working to identify the attacker.
