Investigative Committee Chairman orders most experienced investigators join probe into attack on Interior Ministry student

Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has ordered that most experienced investigators should join an investigation in an attack on an Interior Ministry student in Moscow so that the attacker was identified, detained and prosecuted in the shortest possible time.

The investigators are going to find out the attacker’s motives by all means, but an assault on a person in uniform, especially a young woman, who chose to serve her country, is a cynical and amoral crime.

A young and delicate woman was simply not able to fight back the attacker. Such outrageous behavior will not remain unpunished. The investigators are going to do their utmost to bring the culprit to justice.
