The Komi Republic Office of the Russian Investigative Committee has launched a probe against a driver of a Ural truck, who is suspected in violation of traffic rules and rules for operation of transport vehicles under Part 3 of Article 264 of the RF Penal Code.

According to investigators, the driver of the Ural truck lost control and drove onto the oncoming line, where he collided with a bus on the motorway between the settlements of Koslan and Usogorsk on 17 April. The bus driver died in a crash, 18 people, including children, with various injuries were hospitalized.

Procedural and investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances surrounding the incident, gathering and proving of evidence.
