The Tver Region Office of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation in murder of 9 people – four women and 5 men under Part 2, item “a” of Article 105 of the RF Criminal Code.

According to preliminary information, a 45-year-old resident of Moscow was visiting a party and drinking alcohol at night at the cottage settlement 50 let Oktyabrya in the settlement of Redkino, Konakovo District. During the party the guests had a domestic quarrel, after which the suspect took off. But then he came back with a gun and started shooting killing 9 people.

During the examination, investigators found three female and 5 male bodies on the property and the body of another woman in the trunk of a car parked on the property.

Survivors managed to call the police. The shooter has been detained and is now being interrogated to find out all the circumstances of and reasons for the incident. The investigators have ordered forensic examinations including ballistic, DNA and medical ones.

Following an order of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee a team of investigators and criminalists of the Investigative Committee’s Central Office have started examining the scene using latest forensic equipment. Neighbors and some other witnesses have been questioned.
