The Head Office of the Investigative Committee has initiated criminal proceedings against deputy governor of Kursk Region Vasily Zubkov, Andrei Zanin, Alexander Filimonov and Natalya Kretova. Zubkov is suspected of bribery under Part 6 of Article 290, while his accimplices of mediation of bribery under Part 4 of Article 291.1, giving a bribe under Part 5 of Article 291 and complicity in giving a bribe under Part 5 under Article 33, Part 5 of Article 291 of the RF Criminal Code.

According to investigators, in 2015, Zubkov got a bribe of real estate worth more than 1 million rubles for assisting a company getting a certificate necessary to commission a residential building with a number of violations.

At present, investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances surrounding the crime.
