The Tver Region Office of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation in murder of 9 people – four women and five men under Part 2, item “a” of Article 105 of the RF Penal Code.

According to preliminary information, the mass murder took place in the settlement of Redkino, Konakovo District, in a cottage settlement of 50 let Oktyabrya. At night a 45-year-old resident of Moscow was drinking alcohol at a party. During the party the guests had a domestic quarrel, after which the suspect took off. But then he came back with a gun and started shooting killing 9 people.

Survivors managed to call the police. The shooter has been detained and is going to be interrogated.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee has charged the Committee’s Head Office with the investigation.

A team of Central Office’s investigators and criminalists has been dispatched to the scene.
