The RF Security Council is celebrating its 25^th anniversary today.

The Security Council is the most important deliberative body under the Russian President which helps to develop strategies for countering new challenges and threats to our country. The Council defends Russia’s national interests, its independence and territorial integrity. It is a champion of the single state police in military, economic, public and information security.

Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has congratulated on the anniversary of the Council its Secretary Nikolai Patrushev and all its members, noting that “high level of professionalism, perfect strategic thinking, consistency in decision making and exceptional devotion are components of well-deserved high authority of the Council’s members. Stability, peace and quiet of the society and successful socioeconomic development of the state depend to a large extent on the results of their work”.

Mr. Bastrykin also pointed out important role of the Council and its meetings which determine priority tasks, including fighting crimes, such as terrorism and the spread of its ideas in cyberspace.

On his behalf and on behalf of the Investigative Committee Mr. Bastrykin wished Mr. Patrushev and all members of the Security Council sound health, happiness, wellbeing and further success in their work for the benefit and welfare of our country!
