In Moscow, two men found guilty of complicity in activity of gang

A court has recognized the evidence collected by the Moscow Directorate of the Investigative Committee as sufficient to convict Ruslan Parsilayev and Magomedsalikh Nazarov found guilty of complicity in the activity of an illegal armed group under Part 5 of Article 33, Part 2 of Article 208 of the RF Criminal Code.

The court and investigators have established that from October to November 2015, Parsilayev and Nazarov aware that Zaur Khamutayev and Azamat Shikhavov wanted for an attempted murder of a police inspector of Maryino District police unit were active members of illegal armed group and terrorist cell Babayurtovskaya, assisted them in their crimes and helped them to hide from law-enforcers by providing them with housing, food, vehicles and communication means.

The investigators searched Parsilayev and Nazarov’s residences and found their different items and clothes belonging to gangsters.

Khamutayev and Shikhavov were located in Kalmykia during operations carried out by special units of the Russian Ministry of the Interior and the Federal Security Service. The gangsters fought back and were killed by the agents.

A number of forensic expert examinations, including DNA, ballistic, biological and others, were run during the investigation and confirmed the involvement of the accused in the crime.

The court has sentenced Parsilayev to 6 years and Nazarov to 5 years in a minimum-security correctional facility.
