The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin instructed the direction of Orel Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia to report about progress of investigation of a probe into torture of a 2-year-old child, negligence and failure to discharge the duties of bringing up a minor (Paragraph D of Part 2 of Article 117, Part 1 of Article 293, Article 156 of the Criminal Code of Russia). The child was removed from the family. His mother was detained, a preventive measure for her is being decided upon.
Alexander Bastrykin also demanded a report from the Zabaikalsky Territorial Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia on progress of investigation of a probe launched against educator of the center for helping children left without parental care under Paragraph A of Part 2 of Article 117 of the Criminal Code of Russia (torture of three minors). The educator was detained, a preventive measure for her is being decided upon.
Apart from that, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia requested a report from the Moscow Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia on a probe into injuring of 6-year-old boy from Kuntsevo by hockey goals that fell on him. The probe was launched under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of Russia (rendering of services that do not meet safety requirements).
Alexander Bastrykin instructed the Central Office to supervise the process and the results of the probes.
